This easy buffalo chicken pizza starts with a homemade pizza dough, topped with chicken, blue cheese, and green onions.
Buffalo Chicken Pizza is on repeat for a few weeks right now! We love to use leftover cooked chicken soaked (well I do anyways) in buffalo sauce. Blue cheese crumbles make this the ULTIMATE pizza!

I’ve told you over and over that we do pizza night once a week! Since I do them so often I really try to mix it up just a little for the family.
We do love a traditional cheese pizza or pepperoni pizza but there are so many great toppings to choose from!
Sausage arugula pizza is amazing! I even love ham and pineapple, but shhhh don’t tell anyone!
HOW TO MAKE BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA
Ingredients:
- Homemade pizza dough. My pizza dough is the best dough to use here!
- Chicken. I used cooked chicken here. Rotisserie is the best but any will do.
- Buffalo wing sauce. I typically use Frank’s sauce. If you can find the buffalo wing sauce flavor, then use the original Frank’s sauce.
- Tomato sauce. I use unsalted sauce on all of pizza recipes.
- Garlic powder.
- Blue cheese crumbles. Adds a creamy, salty flavoring to the pizza.
- Mozzarella cheese. You can go light or heavy with this.
- Green onions. Adds a little crunch, with a mild flavor.
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl add yeast and 2 cups flour. Whisk together.
2. Using your dough hook, turn on the mixer and slowly add in water.
3. Add salt and continue to mix.
4. Add the remaining flour a ½ cup at a time till all is incorporated or until dough is formed into a ball and pulling away from the sides of the bowl and just slightly sticky.
5. Dust counter top with flour and dump ball out of the mixing bowl. Divide into 2 balls (will only be using one ball to cook with).
6. With flour covered hands knead one dough till you have a nice smooth ball.
7. Drizzle olive oil in a clean medium size bowl. Place one dough inside, turn a few times. Cover with dish towel and leave in warm spot.
8. Rest for 30 minutes up to an hour or until double in size. Preheat oven to 425 ° F. Spray round pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray, set aside.
9. Once dough has risen place on a flour covered surface. Roll dough out into 8” circle using rolling pin. Transfer to pizza pan.
10. In bowl mix together chicken and buffalo sauce. Set aside.
11. Top pizza dough with tomato sauce. Sprinkle garlic powder. Top with shredded cheese, blue cheese, then with chicken.
12. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
13. Top with green onions. Serve and ENJOY!
NOTES & STORAGE:
While you can reheat this in the microwave, we love to reheat in a toaster oven or oven!
Store for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
