Red, White and Blue Banana Ice Cream not only looks and tastes amazing but is made with all natural ingredients!
Last year I discovered banana ice cream or “nice cream”. Not sure why it is called that but I have enjoyed making different variations including this Red, White and Blue Banana Ice Cream!
What’s even more enjoyable is that you don’t have to make this in an ice cream maker!
I started making my own banana ice cream because I wanted to control what ingredients I was putting into my ice cream and then in turn giving to my family.
A few tips about making it:
- make sure you freeze your bananas at a minimum of 2 hours. Also only pull out of the refrigerator the amount of bananas you need because they will start to soften up too quickly, especially on hot days.
- if you use fruit syrups make them the day before to make sure they are completely cooled.
- use whatever fruit you’d like! Have fun with it!

So healthy and scrumptious looking. I can see how the syrups could also be enjoyed over, er “regular” ice cream =) Definitely saving your recipe(s). My husband is dairy sensitive and will be very appreciative =)
