Let’s talk about air fryers, shall we? There is a lot of debate about weather you should buy one or not. I say, if you want one, get one.
For me, I started out not wanting one. I figured, I could just use my oven. And if you have a convection oven, then you may not need one. Since we moved we have now gone back to an electric oven that is very basic.
Honestly getting an air fryer was amazing! So far we have made, air fryer puff pastry beignets, lots of these air fryer potato wedges, and air fryer chicken legs. Our air fryer can all do rotisserie chicken and it turned out great! We will never have buy them from the store again and I am loving it!
When it came to the chicken legs, I was actually really disappointed. I thought it would come out like fried chicken and it didn’t. To be fair, I didn’t use a batter or coating of any kind so I am sure that was the problem.
Which Air Fryer to buy?
Determining which air fryer to buy should depend on your family size. Honestly if you have 4 or more in your family I would suggest getting the larger one. Again, it just doesn’t make sense to me to use the air fryer if I am having to cook recipes in batches. I could use my oven instead. Getting the larger one will cut down on the amount of time you are cooking recipes.
I bought the Emeril Lagasse 12–Quart Air Fryer Pro 7t at Costco and it is available at Walmart too. You can also find a similar one on amazon. If I was going to buy a smaller one I had my eye on this Gourmia 6 Quart Digital Air Fryer.
