With so many things that go on between the holiday season and Valentine’s Day sometimes a not so homemade treat is needed! If you really must use something homemade these soft sugar cookies would fit the bill!
What I like so much about these cookie bars is that even the kids can make them! My 13 yr old and 10 yr old helped but I had full confidence that they could pull these off by themselves. They did most of the work either way, I just supervised!
HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY FROSTED COOKIE BARS!
INGREDIENTS:
- Refrigerated sugar cookie dough. Sugar cookie dough was so easy to find and work with.
- Valentine’s themed sprinkles. If making these at any other time other than Valentines you can definitely use any kind of sprinkle.
- Strawberry frosting. Strawberry flavor taste so good but you can use cherry as well!
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8×8” baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- Mix two tablespoons of sprinkles in cookie dough until evenly distributed. Press dough into prepared pan in an even layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Allow cookie bar to cool completely in pan before removing.
- Frost completely cooled cookie bar with strawberry frosting. Top frosting with remaining sprinkles. Allow frosting to set before cutting into 16 squares.
