Let me tell you, these are good! Really good! It’s just to bad that I didn’t get to enjoy them. You see, I made these the day before my trip so the girls and I could have a snack. I packed my hand bag and placed it on the couch then my husband and I ran to my daughter’s preschool for her play.Little did I realize that my dog had planned a snack for her as well. In the rush to get out the door I forgot to put her in her kennel.
Well bye bye to the granola bar snack on the plane. I am glad that I managed a taste them before she got them all.
I will definitely be making these as soon as I get home.
CINNAMON RAISIN GRANOLA BARS
YIELDS:12 bars
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 5 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 corn syrup
2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup rice crispy cereal
Directions:
1.Melt butter, sugar, cinnamon and corn syrup.
2.Boil till all sugar has dissolved.
3.Take off heat and add oats and cereal to butter mixer.
4.Stir in raisins.
5.Press into 8X8 ungreased pan.
6.Refrigerate for 5 minutes till set.
