Happy Friday all! Because my readers spoke, I listened! There was an overwhelming response to a question I posted on Facebook about crock pots. So when Lori said she would guest post for me this when and asked me if I was interested in a crock pot recipe. I said YES! My fans would love it!! So today I welcome Lori from Pinch of Glitter!
Hello everyone! I’m Lori and I blog over at A Pinch of Glitter, where I share recipes, crafts, and just a pinch of glitter. I’m so excited to be here today on The Bitter Side of Sweet.
As you can guess from my blog name, I’m pretty obsessed with glitter. It’s like my little girl fetish. If I could have everything in my house be glitter-covered, I would. Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a glitter covered Kitchen-Aid? Or laptop? Or the linoleum in your kitchen be all glittered?
Maybe I’m just a weirdo, but I have always thought this would be the dream.
Until a few days ago…
My husband and I are moving this week, and it’s totally last minute. I was browsing online “for fun” looking at places to live, and we found a great deal! Well, it turned into reality and we’re moving! Gah, talk about total STRESS!!
So I’ve been frantically packing and cleaning, and guess what I found:
Glitter.
Not just anywhere.
In my FRIDGE.
(and everywhere else too).
That stuff gets everywhere.
Not to mention there’s a single guy moving into our place after us, and I don’t think he’ll appreciate the glitter too much, so I’ve got to get every speck of it cleaned up.
(Oh. I know how the glitter got in the fridge by the way. For my husband’s birthday I gave him some root beer. With a glitter bow, of course. That may be one of my biggest regrets ever.)
Anyway. This week, of ALL weeks, I need something terribly easy, and awfully delicious to cook. Where do I turn? To my crockpot of course!! I have made this meal two times in the last week – it is THAT easy (and THAT good)!
Don’t let the cranberry scare you away! In all honesty, I don’t like cranberry one single bit. I think cranberry is just so yucky and always reminds me of the juice my grandma would drink. But this chicken is SO gosh darn good. It kind of almost tastes like sweet and sour chicken!! My husband and I are huge fans! It makes quite a bit, so it’s great for leftovers as well. Enjoy!
