Apple Cinnamon Danish Pastry

With a base of buttery puff pastry, these danishes are topped with a cinnamon cream cheese filling and fresh apples.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 Green Apples cored and sliced
  • Egg Wash

For the glaze

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line 1 baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In mixing bowl add cream cheese, sugar and cinnamon. Beat on medium high until creamy.
  • Roll out pastry. Cut pastry sheet into 9 squares. Lay on baking sheet.
  • Place 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture on the center of each pastry.
  • Evenly divide apple slices and place in the center of each pastry.
  • Fold edges of pastry over apple. Brush with egg wash.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • In small bowl whisk together powdered sugar and milk.
  • Drizzle over pastry.
  • Serve and ENJOY!
