Chocolate Glazed Almond Donuts

- FOR THE DONUT:
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- FOR THE GLAZE:
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Spray 6 piece donut pan with non stick cooking spray.
In medium bowl whisk together maple syrup, extract and egg.
Sift into egg mixture flour, almond flour and baking soda.
Pipe into donut pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cook for 3 minutes.
In medium sauce pan add whipping cream and allow it to heat up just until a boil. Take off heat. Add in chocolate chips and stir until incorporated.
Dip donuts into chocolate and allow to set for 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and ENJOY!
