Mixed Berry Turnovers

Mixed Berry Turnovers can brighten up your breakfast or your dessert. They are ready in less than half an hour, too! Use any kind of fresh berry you want!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry thawed
  • 2/3 cup Blueberries
  • 1/3 cup Raspberries
  • 1/3 cup Blackberries
  • 3 Strawberries sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice about half a lemon
  • Egg wash 1 egg, 1 tsp water
  • optional powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
  • In a small bowl add berries, sugar and lemon juice. Set aside.
  • Roll out puff pastry. Cut into 4 equal squares. Transfer to baking sheet.
  • Evenly divide the berries slightly off-center in each square.
  • Fold the turnovers in half diagonally, to create triangular turnovers. 
  • Press the edges with a fork to seal. Brush with egg wash.
  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and place on the cooling rack. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar(optional). Serve and ENJOY!
