Sea Salt Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter - softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 ⅔ cup flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • Garnish: sprinkle of sea salt

Instructions

  • Mix together softened butter and brown sugar.
  • Add vanilla and 2 eggs.  Mix until you have a smooth texture.
  • Add dry ingredients.  Mix until just combined. Then stir in chocolate chips.
  • Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour before baking (up to 24 hrs).
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Roll dough into balls and place on a prepared baking sheet.  (I prefer to use an ice cream scoop, to have uniform cookies).
  • Bake for approximately 10-11 minutes.  
  • Remove and top each cookie with a sprinkle of sea salt. Let cool on a wire rack.
  • ENJOY!
