When I comes to grilling we love to do a variety of recipes! Easy and simple!
A lot of times we will go to local parks and grill over a wooden grill with sticks we’ve picked up around our yard as saved.
The kids love it and it’s family time that we look forward too!
When we can’t do that, we opt to grill at home!
How to make Grilled Lemon Shrimp Skewers!
Ingredients:
- one and a half pound raw shrimp
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons salt
Directions:
To make this recipe you need 1 1/2 pounds raw shrimp. I bough mine deveined and easy to peel. Once I prepped them I added them to a small bowl with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic cloves and salt!
I allowed them to marinate for about 30 minutes but if you don’t want to wait, you don’t have to!
Once they are done marinating I place about 4 shrimp my 8 inch skewer.
Then I cooked them on a preheated grill for about 6 minutes. 4 minutes on once side, then flipped and an additional 2 minutes on the other.
For the skewers:
You can definitely use wooden. Just make sure to presoak them so they don’t burn on your grill.
I decided to buy metal skewers because I knew I would be using them a lot and didn’t want to keep wasting the wooden ones.
These metal skewers were super easy to use, but they are sharp at the ends! When the shrimp was done grilling they came off very easily!
