Are you obsessed with your air fryer as much as I am? It’s the best thing since sliced bread in my opinion! You should also give these air fryer potato wedges a try! They go great with meatballs!
Can I make meatballs with eggs?
Yes you can! I make them all of the time without eggs and we never have a problem with them binding together. If you are in desperate need to adding moisture to your mixture, splash in a tablespoon at a time of milk or broth.
How much breadcrumbs to use in meatballs? When adding the breadcrumbs I start with 1 cup of breadcrumbs. Then I test my mixture out by rolling out a ball or two. If it holds together well then I stop adding the breadcrumbs. If your mixture needs more than add a tablespoon at a time until your mixture holds together.
What kind of turkey to use for meatballs? With any kind of ground meat I always try to go with the leanest that I can find! It’s the perfect way to cut out the fat.

TIPS AND TRICKS!
These are a few essential tips about these air fryer turkey meatballs.
- If you have an air fryer that you have to preheat, go ahead and preheat to 400 ° F. (mine does not have to preheat)
- Second, if you have a small air fryer you will have to do these in batches.
- With my 12 q air fryer I do not have to cook in batches. I have two crisper trays. I purchased mine from Costco but you can find this version on amazon.
- If you have two trays, rotate them at the 8 minute mark.
- I recommend pure extra-virgin olive oil spray. Other sprays have silicon in the and I don’t really want to be using that to cook with. So invest in a good bottle of spray.
- Invest in air fryer parchment paper liners! Make sure to measure the side of your trays or baskets. I had to go with the 7×7 which are a little smaller than my tray but I can double them up easier than cutting them down to fit my tray
