So today’s post is more for bloggers so if you would like some recipes I would love for you to check out these pound cake cups or some pasta perhaps?
If you are interested in attending blogging conferences then this post is for you!
Two years ago I ran across this blogging conference called OBC – Online Blog Conference. I was able to attend from the help of a fabulous blogger and co-founder Dorothy at Crazy for Crust. She gave me a friends and family discount and I was able to take a couple of sessions.
The best part of this conference is that it was online and I could view it from the comfort of my own home. Being a stay at home mom at the time this made attending very convenient for me.
What was even more valuable was the Facebook group associated with the conference. I was able to meet a ton of bloggers and now I get to work for a couple of them on a monthly basis, like with Aubrey at Real Housemoms or Brianne at Cupcakes and Kale Chips!
I was able to learn how to edit pictures using PicMonkey. Before OBC I had no idea what that even was. And for newbie bloggers all of the free websites that are available to use for blogging was a blessing.
I learned a little about HTML. And how to pitch to companies in order to get sponsored post like this bacon sliders post!
Then something amazing happened last year. I became a part of the planning team for OBC 2014!
What an experience! I was able to chat with the likes of Bree from Baked Bree who spoke about photography and Amber co-found of Food Fanatic who spoke about syndication. I learned some rock solid information from those two ladies that I use daily in my world of blogging.
Online Blog Conference is so affordable and convenient. If you can’t attend the live sessions, no problem they are all recorded for you to view them at your leisure.
So won’t you join us this year for OBC15! We would love to have you!
The conference is scheduled for September 2015! For more information on this schedule, Follow this link!

One question I would like to leave you with. What blogging topic are you most interested in learning more about?

Ashton and Dorothy created such an amazing conference concept! I’m sure it continues to help newer bloggers not only get connected to others, but grow their own sites as well!! Yeah Nancy for being on the team 🙂

It really is a great concept and so glad I meet you through the conference as well Aimee! Thanks lady!
Ashley @ Wishes and Dishes
I agree – conferences are are so fun and helpful! I like the concept of an online conference (especially being the shy person that I am) 🙂

They are so fun!

This is a wonderful idea. It seems I can never go to conferences and online sounds perfect. I will be clicking through to find out more. SEO always intrigues me! Or learning how to use google analytics in a more productive way.
Nancy P.
It’s the perfect option for those who can’t travel!

Nancy, I’m signing up for OBC next week. Last year was my first year and I loved it. The FB group alone is worth it and I love to be able to network with so many amazing bloggers. It’s definitely worth the investment. The most important aspect for me was the ability to go back to sessions and watch them on my own time!!
Martha @ A Family Feast
To this day I credit OBC for teaching in ‘how to blog’!! Such a great support group and tons of great info!
Nancy P.
I completely agree!

Conferences can be such a great benefit – both for learning and networking. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend a few over the last couple of years. I’m taking a break this year due to costs (overall…traveling, hotel, etc) – but an online conference may be perfect for me (keeping costs down and all). Thanks for this post, Nancy!

Conferences are fantastic for networking and learning; love the idea of an online conference making it easier and more cost effective for everyone.
Erin @ Texanerin Baking
I hadn’t heard of this one! I find it especially interesting since I don’t live in the US. I love that I don’t have spend $2000 just to attend a conference (I look into going every year!) Thanks for posting about it.

Sounds fantastic! I love that you can attend from home. It works for everyone!
Jamie @ Love Bakes Good Cakes
I loved OBC 2104 – and I’ve already registered for OBC 2015! Just like you, I loved the convenience of being able to attend a conference from home – and on my time. The Facebook group was a huge help – there is sooo much to learn and I loved having so many people willing to help at my fingertips!
Angie
I did so many conferences before I entered blogging. They suck, they all suck, all industries, online is awesome!
